Open Door Satsang
Sundays 9:30–11:30 am
3841 SE 51st Ave., Portland
Our Sunday morning dharma circle is a time for singing simple kirtan and Hanuman Chalisas, chanting mantra, and a quiet period of meditation. These circles are offered in the spirit of devotion, kindness, service, and love, following Ram Dass’s footsteps to the heart of Neem Karoli Baba.
The door is open, all are welcome, so come on in. We chant until about 11:00 and sit in simple stillness for 20-30 minutes. Then we share simple prasad to close. Stop by whenever you can, for a few minutes or as long as you want.
Sweet voices and rusty pipes are all welcome, drums and instruments and chant leaders are welcome. And folks who have never done this before are welcome! All backgrounds, traditions, interests, and longing belong here.
Devotion and Service
Neem Karoli Baba, also called Maharaji, drew Ram Dass and many other Westerners along with Indian devotees into the path of love and service. Deep devotion, nondual wisdom, Buddhist thought, and insight from many traditions were all central to sanatana dharma as Maharaji embodied it.
Stop by on Sunday to chant, to sit, and to enjoy warm, lively, inclusive conversation that turns us toward “who we really are.”
