Winter Solstice Gathering
Thursday, December 21, 7:00 pm
Upstairs at the Meeting House, 4312 SE Stark, Portland
Offered by self-set sliding scale, $1 to $50 (or more, you set your amount). This annual celebration will benefit Living Earth’s community aid for the Warm Springs Community. Donate here, or by cash or check at the door.
Celebrate our timeless celestial dance
. . . on Winter Solstice. Family, friends, artists, activists, workers, wanderers, doers and dreamers—all are welcome. We’ll let go of the past and turn toward what lies ahead with a community candlelighting ritual. Poetry, reflection, music and simple circle dances will fill out the evening.
Hot cider will welcome you when you arrive, and a basket will be at the door to accept donated warm clothing for all ages, for the community at Warm Springs. New socks, scarves, hats and gloves in all sizes, babies to adults, are welcome. Your support for the people of Warm Springs through your Solstice donation is much appreciated.
Living Earth is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Self chosen sliding scale donations between $1 and $50 are greatly appreciated; they are tax-deductible per IRS rules. Donation proceeds from our Solstice gathering will benefit the Warm Springs Tribal Community.
