Nearly through 2021 …
Here on the continent’s western edge – midway between the hemisphere’s northernmost pinpoint and its wide southern fringe – the gold of autumn shines as daylight shortens. Linking hands, or at least hearts, we notice what’s beautiful between the heavy clouds and soggy ground. We notice that beauty still shines, softly glowing or brightly startling us. Life’s creative expressions and earth’s seasonal processes surround us as we go.
So it’s a perfect time to share an Autumn Potluck at our old gathering place, the Friends Meeting House!
Autumn Potluck Gathering*
Sunday November 21, 6:30–8:30 pm
Quaker Meeting House, 4312 SE Stark, PDX
SPACE WILL BE LIMITED, so please contact us if you plan to attend. Per the Meeting House’s request, we’ll limit attendance to 15. Please see NOTE below regarding vaccination.
As always, please bring a vegetarian or vegan potluck dish (or dessert). We’ll share a great meal and good conversation framed lightly around the question: “How’s life for you now?” There is no charge but since we do pay for the space, donations are welcome. But for sure no one is keeping tabs.
* NOTE re COVID-19: The Meeting House asks that anyone who is in the building be vaccinated, sign in upon entering, and follow basic covid protocols. Masks and hand sanitizer will be on hand if needed. (We understand this may present a barrier for some people, but we need to honor the Meeting House’s requirements. If you have concerns, please let us know.)
