Interdependence Potluck Picnic!
July 4, 5:30–7:30 pm | Mount Tabor Area B (facing Mt. Hood)
Join us on July 4 to celebrate interdependence and co-arising – the root of all relationships. We’ll share a great meal in easy friendship and community, appreciating the interdependence and interconnection that are our true nature in so many ways.
We’ll picnic on the east side of Mount Tabor, facing Mount Hood, at Picnic Area B. Directions are below.
Bring a veg or vegan dish to share, or even fresh lemonade.
Bring your own plate and utensils, to reduce use of disposables!
Musical instruments are welcome. Family and friends of all ages are welcome. Four-legged friends are welcome, too.
In this chaotic time, division, isolation, and hyper-individualism undermine society and threaten what Abraham Lincoln called “our common bonds of affection.” Come for an easy gathering that reaffirms the essential truth of those bonds and our porous interrelationships.
DIRECTIONS: From SE Yamhill or Belmont, turn south on NE 69th to go a block or two until it reaches Mount Tabor Drive. Turn left to enter the park, and within about 100 yards, look for bright prayer flags on the railing on the left.
