Heart to heart, face to face: Dharma circle by Zoom
Open Door Dharma gatherings provide sanctuary, a place to breathe and connect in the field of the heart, stepping away from the churning of the world. Sharing this intention and practice as sangha, satsang, spiritual community, allows us to come into balance and nurture resilience, courage, and compassion for all in this challenging time.
Living Earth has offered regular dharma gatherings for a number of years, small circles meeting for practice and spiritual community.
In late March this year, we began to meet using Zoom. We hope to resume occasional outdoor gatherings later in summer, but that will depend on pandemic conditions and restrictions; no dates are scheduled yet.
Join us for a simple, home-style satsang gathering, with kirtan, meditation, dharma reflection, and interactive connection. We chant, reflect on dharma teachings, and sit together for meditation. Connecting as sangha, cultivating deep loving awareness can enable us to be present with skill and compassion in our unpredictable world.
Stop by and stay as long as you like – the (virtual) door is open. All are welcome and the structure is inclusive, multifaceted, and fluid. Bring your tea and join us to nurture the spacious stability of who we really are.
For weekly reminders and access to dharma circle, send a note here. We’ll add you to the Open Door list for regular reminders of time and date and Zoom link. The Open Door list is limited to weekly reminders about Open Door Dharma gatherings. In addition, you can subscribe to our periodic newsletter from our homepage.
Dharma Zoom?
Due to pandemic precautions, our usual Open Door Gathering has shifted to Zoom, still able to see each other and hear each other and continue in a shared sense of community. Until we can meet in shared physical spaces, we’re grateful to have these online opportunities. Thursday gatherings are generally from 5:00-6:30 pm PDT. Sundays will be irregular this summer, so email us for the link and reminder updates.
What is this path?
Decades ago, Neem Karoli Baba – also called Maharajji – drew Ram Dass and countless Indian and Western devotees to the path of devotion and service. This path for householders has spread far and wide, opening countless hearts and deepening daily lives.
Loving devotion, Buddhist insights, nondual advaita vedanta, as well as tastes of Abrahamic and other world traditions are all woven into the tapestry of sanatana dharma. Neem Karoli Baba’s path – to love, serve, and remember – offers an uncomplicated guide that turns us toward love, toward service and engaged spirituality as a path, as Ram Dass said, to more fully become who we really are.
All backgrounds, traditions, and wondering are welcome. Sweet voices and rusty pipes, longtime practitioners and new devotees, as well as folks just curious what a simple homespun dharma gathering is about. Questions? Email here for further information.
