Dharma Circle on Sunday morning includes simple kirtan and chanting, with dharma reflections, followed by a half-hour silent sitting. These circles are offered in the spirit of devotion, kindness, service, and love, following Ram Dass’s footsteps and the heart of Neem Karoli Baba.
We chant in the bhakti tradition until 11:00 am, and then practice sitting meditation for 30 minutes. Come when you can and stay as long as you like – the door is open and all are welcome.
There is structure here but it’s very informal, so help yourself to some chai in the kitchen and join us sitting on the floor in our tiny dharma hall, or just make yourself comfortable and hang out on the couch. All backgrounds, traditions, interests, and longing are welcome. We’re a small home-style satsang with both sweet voices and rusty pipes; drums and instruments are welcome, too.
Devotion and Service
Deep devotion, Buddhist insight, nondual wisdom from advaita vedanta, and practices from Abrahamic and other world traditions flow together in the river of Sanatana Dharma that Neem Karoli Baba embodied. Decades ago, Neem Karoli Baba, also called Maharajji, drew Ram Dass and many other Western and Indian devotees into the path of love and service. This is a householder’s practice that has spread far and wide, opening countless hearts.
Stop by on Sunday to chant, to sit, and to enjoy warm conversation that reminds us of “who we really are.” Questions? Contact Anjani, or ask when you get here.
